Elections in West Bengal: Bengal needs change of system

Submitted by cgpiadmin on Sun, 17/04/2011 - 03:30

Bengal definitely needs change. The issue is this. Will replacing the Left Front government by a TMC Congress government address the problems of workers and peasants of Bengal? Or the entire political and economic system needs radical transformation? The Communist Ghadar Party of India firmly believes that the entire political and economic system needs radical transformation, a Navnirman of the Indian state and society. The line pursued by the CPI(M) and the Left Front it leads have been a biggest block to this Navnirman.

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 20th March, 2011

Comrades!

Elections to the Tamil Nadu state assembly will take place at a time when the credibility crisis of the political system in our country is extremely acute.  The majority of people are fed up with parties that rule in the name of the people, while working to enrich the biggest capitalists and themselves.  They are disgusted with the Parliament which is filled with the leaders of such self-serving parties.

Kashmir: Real face of Indian democracy

The Editor, Apropos the article entitled 'Kashmir - an exposure of the real face of Indian democracy’, I am writing to express my thanks to the CGPI for its bold and categorical stand on the matter.  Written in the wake of the 'all-party’ delegation’s visit to Srinagar to supposedly appraise itself of the situation, the article captured in no uncertain terms that the mask of Indian democracy has been torn apart by the thousands of brave men, women and children who have come out into the streets to express their anger against continuous and increased repression under the hands of the state.

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
