Inspiring article

I read the article, “The anti-worker and anti-national policy of privatisation must be exposed and resolutely opposed” in the February 1-15 issue of Mazdoor Ekta Lehar.  Reading this, I got to know of the conspiracy hatched by the government in its efforts to privatize Air India.

Unite against the capitalist system of maximum loot and plunder!

The working class has to fight to become the ruling class!

May Day Call of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, 2011

Replacing one party or coalition by another in the existing capitalist democracy does not lead to any advance for the toiling masses.  It does not change the capitalist orientation of the economy.  It does not end the loot and plunder of our land and labour, nor the attacks on our rights. The only way the situation will change is if we who produce the wealth of India become her masters.  Then and only then can we reorient the economy to provide prosperity and protection for all.

Solution lies in changing the system, not merely the party in power!

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 20th March, 2011

Comrades!

Elections to the Tamil Nadu state assembly will take place at a time when the credibility crisis of the political system in our country is extremely acute.  The majority of people are fed up with parties that rule in the name of the people, while working to enrich the biggest capitalists and themselves.  They are disgusted with the Parliament which is filled with the leaders of such self-serving parties.

Sri Krishna Committee submits report on Telengana: Condemn the deliberate inflaming of passions among the people!

The Sri Krishna Committee on Telengana submitted its report to the Central Government on December 30, 2010. It presents six options to deal with the problem, with one identified as the "most preferred option", and another identified as a second option. The other four options are termed impractical by the Committee itself. The Sri Krishna Committee had been set up by the UPA Government in February 2010 to allegedly assist it to arrive at a solution to the agitation in Andhra Pradesh for and against Telengana. Now, the ball is in the court of the UPA Government to hit which way it chooses.

Kashmir – an exposure of the real face of Indian democracy

After more than three months of continuous mass protests in Kashmir, and the killing of more than a hundred people in daily shootings by the armed forces there, the UPA government finally came up with its long-awaited policy measure to deal with the explosive situation there – an ‘all-party’ delegation visit to Kashmir to observe the problem first-hand! As the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar reacted incredulously, “Doesn’t the government of India already know the situation that is prevailing in Kashmir?!” This latest move only confirms the utter bankruptcy of the Indian state, its inability to even pretend that it has a solution to the problem.

UPA Government and the Working Class: Attacking workers in the name of “aam aadmi”

The UPA Government headed by Manmohan Singh has completed the first year of its second term in office. Workers must make a sober assessment of this regime which is attacking workers and their rights in the name of the “aam admi”.  This fortnight, Mazdoor Ekta Lehar  looks at the UPA Government in relation to the conditions, aspirations and demands of the working class.

National Food Security Bill: Blatant assault on the right of the working masses to guaranteed food

The UPA government is preparing to introduce a bill in parliament that is called the “National Food Security Bill”. Mazdoor Ekta Lehar condemns this bill as a blatant assault on the right of the working masses to guaranteed food. Far from ensuring any food security, the aim of this bill is to create the illusion that the UPA government is concerned about eradicating hunger and malnutrition, while in fact the bill guarantees nothing to the working masses of town and country.

Women demand a new state power, new constitution and a new political system and process!: Call of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India for 8th March, 2010

On the occasion of 8th March, 2010, the beginning of the centenary year of International Women’s Day, the Congress Party led UPA Government is tabling the Women’s Reservation Bill as its gift to the women of India. The aim of this Bill is to create reserved constituencies for women in every Lok Sabha and state assembly election, as the way to guarantee that at least one third of seats in these legislative bodies are occupied by women. This move has been welcomed by many parties including the BJP and the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
