Visit of US Secretary of Defence to India: Oppose the Indo-US strategic collaboration!

Mazdoor Ekta Lehar condemns the visit of US Secretary of Defence Leon Panetta to India in June 2012. This visit was aimed at coordinating the imperialist approaches of the US and India towards China, Iran, Syria, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It also included signing of billions of dollars worth of arms purchases.

Condemn the Maharashtra government's draconian, anti-worker law

The fascist, anti-worker, Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act (MESMA) has been passed by the Maharashtra legislature in April 2012, despite opposition from trade unions and other workers organizations cutting across party and trade union lines. Mazdoor Ekta Lehar condemns the Congress – NCP government of Maharashtra for this savage attack on workers right to strike work.

Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states oppose US moves on Iran and Syria

Member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO)—Russia, China and the four central Asian states Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan—issued a joint statement opposing external intervention in Iran and Syria, at the recently concluded meeting of the Heads of State of the organization in Beijing on June 7, 2012.

Government “reforms” mean privatisation of public services

The employees of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) are also protesting the privatisation of water supply alongside the residents of Delhi. The Delhi government has announced an annual increase of 10% in water tariff so as to enable the private companies to increase their profit.

Graziano Trasmissioni is a multinational company producing gears for automobiles. It has 35 plants the world over. This former Italian multinational company has now been taken over by a US multinational.

Meeting of Loco Drivers of the Delhi Branch

The Delhi Branch of the All India Loco Pilots’ Association (AILRSA) held their meeting on 10th June 2012 in the loco workshop of the Purani Delhi Railway station. Many young loco pilots participated enthusiastically in this meeting. A majority of the loco pilots had participated in the Second All-India General Body Meeting of the AILRSA, held successfully over two days in Bengaluru.

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.

The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.
