Halt privatisation of education for ensuring quality education
Primary school teachers of Delhi demonstrated at Rajghat on October 21, under the banner of the All Delhi Primary Teachers’ Union. Young teachers of the union participated in the demonstration. Teachers of the N.D.M.C and Delhi Cantonment Board also participated in the demonstration alongside teachers of 3 Corporations.
Elections to the Delhi Assembly have been announced. These elections take place at a time when people are facing very difficult conditions as prices of the most essential commodities are escalating and essential services such as education, health and housing are unaffordable and beyond their reach.
Leaders and activists of the Mazdoor Ekta Committee have been vigorously participating in the struggle of the workers of the Airports Authority of India against privatization of the airports of Chennai, Kolkota and four other cities.
At Chennai airport, Comrade Baskar addressed the gathering of workers.
The political and economic system needs to be changed, not merely the party in power
The schedule for the Assembly elections to the states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Delhi has been announced by the Election Commission. These elections will be held in November and December 2013.
