Finnish handset major Nokia India has signed an agreement on wage revision with employees.

Nokia India has signed an agreement on wage revision with workers of its manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur bringing their six-day strike to an end. Nokia is a Finnish multinational.

The tripartite agreement was signed between the Nokia India Employees Progressive Union and the company management in the presence of the Tamil Nadu Labour Minister. The workers organised under the banner of the Nokia India Employees Progressive Union had begun their sit-in strike on July 23, to demand wage revision and revocation of suspension of around 50 workers. The agreement over wages will be for a three year period. The management has revoked the suspension of the suspended workers.
