Function to commemorate Shaheedi Diwas held in Jakhal

The Jan Chetna Manch of Jakhal town situated in Haryana organised a program in the grain market of the town on 25th March 2016 to commemorate the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.

Master Brujpal presided over the function. The people present on the occasion paid their respects by garlanding the statue of Bhagat Singh. An exhibition of pictures of the martyrs was also organised on this occasion. Sarpanch Shri Surendra Mittal, the previous Vice Chairman Shri Sita Ram Mittal, chairman of the Block Samiti Shri Narendra Jindal and the head of the Kaccha Aadti Association Shri Satish Bhola were also present on the occasion. The Chief Guest of the program which was entitled “Ek Sham Shahidon ke Naam” (An Evening in the Memory of the Martyrs) Prof Jagmohan said that we can pay true homage to the martyrs by overcoming divisions fostered by the enemy amongst the people on the basis of religion and caste.

The artistes of the Deshbhakt Yaadgar Manch Myondkala presented their items with the messages of patriotism, brotherhood and harmony. The president of the function said that he got the inspiration to organise this function in Jakhal from the Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Hall, Jalandhar. He said we must always remember and respect the sacrifices made by the Gadari Babas.

Dr Kesho Mittal conducted the proceedings. The President of the Jan Chetna Manch Shri Brujpal Aadival felicitated meritorious students of Brujpal Jindal DAV School, Colonel Public School, Shahid Kartar Singh Sarabha School, the K M Saraswati School and other schools of the Jakhal area.

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.

The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.
