Comrade AD Golandaz

Comrade AD Golandaz, veteran communist and trade union leader, breathed his last on March 30, 2016. Comrade Golandazwas suffering for the last six months from terminal cancer.

Comrade A.D. Golandaz was Convenor of Trade Union Joint Action Committee of Mumbai for nearly two decades. In this capacity he dedicated himself to building the unity of the organised working class in Mumbai.

In honour of his memory, a memorial meeting was organised on April 9, 2016 at the Bhupesh Gupta Bhawan in Mumbai. Comrade Mohan Sharma, All India President of AITUC chaired the meeting. Leaders and activists of the communist and workers movement, across party and trade union affiliations, attended the meeting.

Speakers spoke about the efforts put in by Comrade Golandaz to bring the organised working class of Maharashtra under the banner of TUJAC. They spoke of the simplicity of Comrade Golandaz.The representative of Communist Ghadar Party said that whenever the working class made any advance in its struggles with the capitalistsand their state, ComradeGolandaz would rejoice. Comrade Golandazworked tirelessly to build the unity of all working class organisations and never differentiated between them.

MazdoorEkta Lehar expresses its heartfelt condolences at the passing away of Comrade Golandaz.

Manifesto 2014There is growing realisation among workers, peasants and other self-employed people that the program of liberalisation and privatisation only serves to enrich an exploiting minority at their expense. Mass resistance is growing to this anti-worker, anti-peasant and anti-national program.
