New Delhi

Comrade Gurmit Singh, Secretary,
Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee

Dear Comrade,

The news that Comrade Chain Singh Chain passed away on January 9, 2016 fills me and all the other comrades of the Communist Ghadar Party with sadness.

Comrade Chain Singh Chain had enormous love for the people and great respect for the ideals that inspired the Ghadaris. In the 35 years since the founding of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, the comrades of our Party and I have had the privilege of numerous interactions with Comrade Chain Singh Chain, both at the Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Center and at his home. Comrade Chain Singh Chain always received us with the greatest warmth, full of interest and attention for the work of the Party.

Comrade Chain Singh Chain fully recognized the importance of restoring communist unity around a revolutionary program of the working class. In this direction, he worked to ensure that the Desh Bhagar Yadgaar Committee never swerved from its aim of being a center for all communists, irrespective of which party or group they belonged to, united around the aim of propagating and defending the work of the Hindustan Ghadar Party. He worked closely with our party comrades and comrades of other Parties and groups in building and establishing the Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee as such an institution.

Born in Danduwal village in Phillaur District on August 25, 1917, Comrade Chain Singh Chain plunged into the freedom struggle in his school and college days. Inspired by communist ideals and the ideals of the Hindustan Ghadar Party, he joined the Kirti Kisan Party in the early nineteen thirties. He was one of the leaders of the Lal Party which organized an armed peasant movement in PEPSU called the PEPSU Mujhara movement, in the late nineteen forties. Later on, following the merger of the different trends in the communist and workers movement into the Communist Party of India, Comrade Chain Singh Chain joined the Communist Party of India and remained its member for many decades.

Comrade Chain Singh Chain was a friend of our Party. The passing away of Comrade Chain Singh Chain is an immense loss to our Party. It is an immense loss to the Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee to whose work he has contributed so much, and to the Communist Party of India, in whose ranks he militated for so many decades.

Please convey our heartfelt grief to all the comrades, friends, and family of Comrade Chain Singh Chain.

Red Salute to Comrade Chain Singh Chain!

Lal Singh
General Secretary,
Communist Ghadar Party of India.

Call of the Mazdoor Ekta Committee

The all India general strike has been called to resolutely oppose the course of enriching the capitalist minority by impoverishing the toiling majority. It has been called to assert the rights that belong to workers, peasants and other toiling people who create the wealth of India.

The truth is that there IS an alternative. The alternative is to reorient the economy to fulfil people’s needs instead of fulfilling capitalist greed. This is the program for the Navnirman of India.

Manifesto 2014Unite around the program to reconstitute the Indian Republic and reorient the economy to ensure prosperity and protection for all!

There is growing realisation among workers, peasants and other self-employed people that the program of liberalisation and privatisation only serves to enrich an exploiting minority at their expense. Mass resistance is growing to this anti-worker, anti-peasant and anti-national program.
