Lenin’s teachings on imperialism and the revolution retain their complete validity today

April 22 marks the 146th birth anniversary of VI Lenin. Lenin will always be remembered and honored for his invaluable contribution to the treasury of Marxism — the revolutionary doctrine of emancipation of the working class from the shackles of capitalist slavery. Lenin further developed the theory of Marxism, in the conditions wherein capitalism had reached the stage of imperialism, its final stage, at the end of the nineteenth century.

In 1914, the biggest imperialists of the world had unleashed a devastating world war to re-divide the world amongst themselves. Millions of people were slaughtered in this war for the sake of the profits of the biggest monopolies. In these conditions the Russian working class led by the Bolshevik party rose up in revolution, overthrew the rule of the Tsar, the capitalists and the landlords, and established in its place the rule of the working class in alliance with the toiling peasantry. Lenin will always be remembered as the architect of the Great October Socialist Revolution that shook the world in November 1917.    > read more

Opposition in Japan to the broadening of military alliance with US

Thousands of anti war protestors surrounded the Japanese Parliament in the capital Tokyo in March 29, 2016. They were expressing the opposition of the Japanese people to the new security laws passed by the Abe government that allows the Japanese military to engage in conflicts abroad.    > read more


Massive protests by French workers against pro capitalist changes to labor laws

More than 10 lakh workers and students of France participated in militant demonstrations on March 31, 2016, against the pro capitalist, anti worker reforms to the Labour Code proposed by the government of Francois Hollande. The protests have taken place not only in the capital Paris, but also in other towns of the country including Toulouse, Lille and Nantes.

Successful one month strike at the Sanand Nano Plant in Gujarat

About 400 workers of Nano Plant in Sanand, Gujarat who had been on strike since the night 22nd Feburary till 22nd March 2016, emerged victorious. They had been protesting against the dismissal of 26 workers who had been carrying on the struggle to establish the right of the workers to form a union of their choice.
