The Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India salutes the Desh Bhagat Yaadgaar Committee for dedicating this year’s Ghadari mela to the Great October Revolution.

Led by the Bolshevik party, the Russian workers and peasants overthrew the rule of the capitalists and landlords and established the new state of the dictatorship of the proletariat. They began building a new socialist society free from all forms of exploitation and oppression of persons by persons. It is fitting that this unforgettable deed is being honoured in the Ghadar Party Memorial in Jalandhar, on the occasion of its centenary.

No communist can ever forget that the Hindustan Ghadar Party was the first revolutionary political party of Indians. Just like the Bolshevik Party, the Ghadar Party had an irreconcilable attitude towards imperialism, the bourgeoisie and the capitalist state. Its aim was totally different from the aim of the Congress Party and other parties sponsored by the colonialists.

The aim of the Hindustan Ghadar Party was to overthrow the colonial state through revolution and establish a new state where workers and peasants would be the rulers. On the other hand, the aim of the Congress Party was to replace the oppressive white man’s rule with the equally oppressive rule of capitalists and landlords while retaining the same colonial state and system of plunder.

Ghadar party consistently brought out the truth that the line of the Congress party would not put an end to the oppression and plunder of India. It exposed the fact that the colonial state was responsible for inciting communal conflicts. The Ghadaris systematically worked to organise the workers and peasants of India for a thoroughgoing social revolution.

Let us firmly unite around the path shown by the Bolshevik party and the Ghadar Party. No problem facing our society will be solved by replacing the BJP with the Congress or some other party or coalition. Let us reject the path of parliamentary cretinism as well as individual terrorism. Let us concentrate our energies on organizing the working class and toiling peasantry to become the rulers of India.

Let us follow the example of the Ghadaris and the Bolsheviks and match our words with our deeds.

With revolutionary greetings

Lal Singh
General Secretary
Communist Ghadar Party of India

Call of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 30th August, 2012

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
