Communique of the 9th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India

The 9th Plenum of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party was convened during 1-2 June, 2019. The Plenum analysed the results of the 17th Lok Sabha elections and summed up the work of the Party in recent months, including our participation in the elections.

The Plenum took note of the enormous amount of money spent on these elections, which are said to be the most expensive election ever held in any country, with the lion’s share being spent on the BJP campaign. The use of modern technology —TV as well as social media — to spread lies among the people has reached an unprecedented scale. The entire election campaign was marked by political debate being reduced to the lowest level. Hate speeches, rabid war mongering against Pakistan, openly communal and divisive propaganda, accusations and counter-accusations of corruption dominated the political discourse. The unparalleled state terror in Kashmir, and the bombing of Pakistan following the terrorist attack in Pulwama were used to project Narendra Modi as the strongman capable of crushing the enemies of India.

If the management of a company manipulates the accounts to hide losses, or to show inflated profit numbers, the auditor is supposed to detect all such fraudulent activities, write it down and submit their audit report to the share-holders of the company.

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code has legalized the loot of public money

It’s three years since the Parliament passed the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). It was called the biggest economic ‘reform’ of the NDA government. It boosted India’s rankings in the World Bank’s ease of doing business. It was claimed that it will help to solve the problem of NPAs faced by Indian banks and recover outstanding loans. The experience of the last 30 months, since the first case was filed under the new law, shows that the IBC has legalized the loot of public money with banks. The write-off of big amounts of NPAs by banks is now carried out under the order of a court.
