Greetings for the New Year

I am writing to thank you for carrying the New Year Greetings from our General Secretary Com. Lal Singh and also his words of encouragement to all the party comrades. I would like to thank him for clearly laying out what the line of the work should be in the coming months and years, which is to bring pressure on all those call themselves Communist to take stand on the important matter of the urgent need to prepare the working class to take power and to replace capitalist democracy by proletarian democracy. By laying out this question in such sharp relief, the matter of polit2ical powers has been brought into question and all matters of diversion have been driven out of the centre stage. Indeed, if the work of Communists is to be successful, and if the lessons of history are to be learnt, then there can be no escape from this question. History has shown us that the capitalist system is one of dangerous crises, which has brought nothing but disastrous for generations and has driven countless millions into misery and poverty. The system of capitalist democracy is the one that protects, engenders and depends the method by which the bourgeoisie, the class in power in the capitalist system, entrenches itself and advances itself. However, the fact that there are crises in the system and that the ranks of the bourgeoisie itself is divided provides significant opportunities for the working class to put forward its program and to articulate its vision of proletarian democracy. Indeed, as Com. Lal Singh has pointed out the spectre of Communism haunts the bourgeoisie. Our task is to give flesh to this spectre, so that humanity may be rid of the pestilence of the capitalist system and the system of Communism arises. Com.Lal Singh has pointed out that there can be no loftier mission in this for those of us in the Communist camp. Indeed, as has been pointed out it is through such loving work that the Party has reached the milestone of 31 years of its existence. Let us resolve to continue this revolutionary work at this exciting moment.

Parties of the capitalist class claim that there is no
alternative to the program of globalisation, liberalisation
and privatisation. The truth is thatthere IS an alternative.

The alternative is to reorient the economy to fulfil people’s
needs instead of fulfilling capitalist greed. This is the
program for the Navnirman of India.
