In solidarity with people of Pakistan against the attack on their sovereignty

Sir,

I would like to commend the Communist Ghadar Party of India on its principled stand and its support for the struggle of the Pakistani people and their state in their struggle to defend their sovereignty, as expressed in the article entitled "Massive US imperialist pressure and blackmail of Pakistan" in the February 1-15, 2012 issue of the Mazdoor Ekta Lehar. It is very important for all those who are interested in the well-being of the people of South Asia to be fully aware of the threat being posed to their existence by US imperialism. It is also important to note that the US imperialists can never be trusted. For them, one day you are an ally, and the next day you are a `terrorist' or an `extremist' if you have outlived your use, of if their strategic aims have shifted. In the most craven and medieval manner, they are now waging a war of attrition against many countries in the region, through direct or indirect intervention, through one pretext of another.

Pakistan has been caught in this situation for many years now and the fabric of their society is being torn by the stresses imposed on it due to big power brinkmanship. It is now a daily matter for one or another US official to state that Pakistan is a supporter of terrorism, or that there is this or that conspiracy, or that Pakistan is up to this or that mischief. The aim is to demonize the people and the state of Pakistan to an extent where an all out war can also be a possibility. The article has pointed out that US strategic interests have always included the aim of encircling and weakening China, and the fact that Pakistan has an immense ally in China makes it a legitimate target of such strategic goals. All principled parties must expose this cynical game of the US and take a stand to defend the sovereignty of Pakistan. In this regard, the concerned article is an important milestone on the matter.

Sincerely,

S. Nair, Kochi

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.

The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.
