Submitted by cgpiadmin on Sun, 01/07/2012 - 19:30

The Delhi Branch of the AILRSA was inaugurated on June 17th 2012; at the same time, the Ghaziabad Branch wasre-instated at the Ghaziabad Association’s main office in Ghaziabad.

A large number of loco pilots from the various loco sheds – Tughlakabad, Shakarpur, Kashmiri Gate and Ghaziabad, participated in the meeting on this occasion.

Preceding the elections to the organisations, several loco pilots related how inspired they felt by their participation in the All India Conference in May 2012.

Further to this, loco pilots from various areas elaborated on the issues concerning their locations. They described how the management set up enquiries, charge-sheeted them and  harassed them when they started asserting their rights. They concluded that only by organising ourselves can we become alert and aware of the attacks on our rights.

Com. Ramsharan (All-India Vice President) presided over the elections. P.C. Jha (Secretary, Northern Branch) and Sunil Kumar (Organisation Minister, Northern Branch) joined him in the presidium. Elections to the President, Executive President, vice-President, Secretary, Co-secretary, Organisational Secretary, Treasurer and six delegates took place. The Ghaziabad Branch was reinstated.
