Seminar in Lucknow on “Present political situation: Intensifying Crisis and the Politics for Real Change”

A successful seminar was held on the issue of “Present political situation: intensifying crisis and the politics for real change” was held on 6th April in Lucknow, in the context of the Lok Sabha elections. Several activists and leaders of communist and progressive organisations participated in this seminar and actively contributed to the discussion.

A newspaper, by the name of Ram-Samaj organised the seminar. Communist leader Com. C.B.Singh, Com. Kaushal Kishor, Com.Ram Kishor and spokesperson of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, Com.Prakash Rao presided over the seminar. The seminar was conducted by the editor of Ram-Samaj and the Secretary of All-India Workers' Council, Com. O.P.Sinha.

Com.Ram Kishen presented a paper on the issue, on behalf of the editorial board of Ram-Samaj. This was followed by a lively discussion to which all participants contributed, addressing the question of how to forge a united front of all organisations that are active in the struggle to bring about a real change in Indian society.

Tahira from AIPWA, Mohammed Masood and Latha from All-India Workers' Council, Dinanath from CPI (Gonda District), Prakash Rao and Birju Nayak from Communist Ghadar Party of India, Shahnawaz Alam from Rihayi Manch, Anil from Allahabad University, R.K.Sinha from CPI (ML), Anmol from AAP, Panjar from Krantikari Sanskrutik Manch, Ram Kishen and Kalpana from Nagarik Manch, Vipin from Raj-Samaj, A.S. Bahar, Dr. Naresh and Alok Singh from Ambedkar Manch were among those who participated in the discussion.

K.K.Shukla concluded the meeting. Mazdoor Ekta Lehar considers this seminar as a significant first step in the movement for bringing about a fundamental change in Indian society in favour of the workers and toilers.
