Call of the Nohar District Committee of LRS

The Nohar District Committee of Lok Raj Sangathan (LRS) in Rajasthan took place on 5 August 2014 in the Parikh Bhavan under the chairmanship of Comrade Hansraj Sharma.

The meeting was addressed by the Vice President of the All India Council (AIC) of LRS, Shri Hanuman Prasad Sharma, District Secretary, Shri Ramesh Dev and Spokesperson, Shri Ganesh Saini along with Comrade Hansraj Sharma, Shri Kanhiya Lal Jain, Shri Maniram Lakesar, Comrade Jogendra Sokhal, Shri Rajesh Khati and Shri Ramkishan Saini among others.

The meeting resolved to intensify the struggle on issues affecting the people of Nohar city and district. A charter of demands was prepared with the demands – Nohar feeder section of Amar Singh branch of Sidhmukh canal must get full water supply, the main canal must be cleared of silt and weeds , theft of water must be stopped and Sidhmukh canal and Nohar feeder area morabbabandi work should be done using the workline method. All vacancies of community health centres must be filled and facilities for investigation of diseases must be made functional. Nohar tehsil must be given the status of a district. A Rajasthan Roadways depot must be established speedily in Nohar. Work must be immediately started for a 10.5m wide mega highway between Rawatsar and Haryana border. Dheelki Jatan village must be connected by Gogamerhi to Dheelki via Nathwania road. Dheelki Jatan is deprived of a road connection even now.

The meeting resolved to take up the problems of Nohar city. The charter of demands included the problems of Nohar city. Demand has been raised that water supply department should get the diggies cleaned immediately. The officials of the water works department must be held responsible if water borne diseases spread in the area. There should be ban on heavy vehicles plying within the city between Jahaajwali Haveli and Sindhi bazaar. Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s statue should be erected at the Bhagat Singh chowk by the Municipality. The third instalment of BPL residential plan must be paid at the earliest.

At the end of the meeting, the charter of demands was presented by the Vice President of the AIC of LRS, Shri Hanuman Prasad Sharma, addressed to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shrimati Vasundhara Raje Sindhia. It was handed over to the sub block officer.

The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.

The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters.
