There is great anger amongst workers, peasants, women and youth at the invitation extended by the Modi government to US President Barack Obama to be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2015.

The Communist Ghadar Party of India calls upon all communist parties and groups, all anti-imperialist and progressive parties and organisations, to pour all their energies into organizing united protest actions as a powerful manifestation of the resolute opposition of the entire Indian people to US imperialism.

There is great anger amongst workers, peasants, women and youth at the invitation extended by the Modi government to US President Barack Obama to be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2015.

This invitation comes at a time when world over, including in the US, masses of people are opposing the US led wars aimed at the destruction of countries.  US imperialism is the fountainhead of terrorism. Together with its allies, it has sponsored numerous terrorist groups to destabilize other countries, as well as to justify fascism at home and imperialist wars of conquest. At this time, US imperialism has directed its attention to the conquest of Asia. In such dangerous conditions, the Indian bourgeoisie is building a strategic alliance with this greatest enemy of humankind. Such a strategic alliance poses grave dangers to our people, as well as all the peoples of Asia.

The Communist Ghadar Party of India calls upon all communist parties and groups, all anti-imperialist and progressive parties and organisations, to pour all their energies into organizing united protest actions as a powerful manifestation of the resolute opposition of the entire Indian people to US imperialism.

Let us unitedly and powerfully express our opposition to the dangerous alliance that the Indian bourgeoisie is building with US imperialism.

Let us send a clear and loud message to the peoples of Asia and the rest of the world that the communist and progressive forces of our country are united and stand shoulder to shoulder with them in the struggle to defend the sovereignty of countries, against fascism and imperialist wars.

Countrywide protests against Obama’s visit have been announced for January 24, 2015 by the CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML)-Liberation, AIFB, SUCI (Communist) and RSP. The Communist Ghadar Party of India hails this as a positive initiative in the interests of our people.

The protest march in Delhi will begin at Mandi House at 1 pm, culminating in a rally at Jantar Mantar. The CGPI calls upon all the parties and organisations opposed to US imperialism to march together unitedly on this issue of vital importance for the people of our country, for our sovereignty, and for peace in this region.

Call of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 30th August, 2012

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
