Immediate halt to Israel’s genocidal attacks in Gaza

Hundreds of people gathered outside the Israeli embassy in New Delhi om 13th July to protest the barbaric genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza strip. This demonstration was organised under the banner of “Indian people’s solidarity with Gaza”. Hundreds of students, youth, intellectuals, artists and ordinary citizens participated in the demonstration. The demonstrators raised slogans against the Zionist Israeli state and US imperialism and in support of the Palestinian people. They demanded an immediate halt to the mass killing of innocent Palestinians. They condemned the silence of the Indian government and other governments world-wide on this genocide, and demanded that the Indian government should bring pressure on the Israeli government to halt the mass killings failing which the Indian government should cut off all state-to-state relations with Israel.

Demonstrators presented their demands to the Israeli ambassador and to the Indian government to immediately halt the genocide. They demanded that the Indian government must ask for an emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly.

A similar demonstration was held in Mumbai to condemn the Israeli attacks and in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.

Manifesto 2014There is growing realisation among workers, peasants and other self-employed people that the program of liberalisation and privatisation only serves to enrich an exploiting minority at their expense. Mass resistance is growing to this anti-worker, anti-peasant and anti-national program. However, the working class is being prevented from realizing its potential as the leader of all the exploited, and as the grave-digger of capitalism, by those in the communist movement who are spreading harmful illusions and compromising the class struggle.
