Honda workers continue with their hunger strike

The hunger strike of the workers of Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) at Jantar Mantar has been continuing since 19th September 2016. HMSI is located at Tepukheda, Alwar on the border of Rajasthan and Haryana. The workers have been in struggle since February 2016 demanding their right to form a union of their choice, for implementation of labour laws in the company, against the Haryana and Rajasthan governments’ atrocities on the oppressed workers and for taking back the dismissed workers.

In the course of their struggle, the workers have had to face attacks by the management’s goondas and the Haryana-Rajasthan police. Along with CITU, AITUC, Mazdoor Ekta Committee, AICCTU, Jan Sangarsh Manch Haryana, Bigul Mazdoor Dasta, several workers’ organisations of Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan are supporting their struggle and participating in these protests.
