With great sadness we inform you that our dear comrade Stuart Monro of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist) passed away on September 7 at the age of 79. The Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India deeply mourns his passing away, which is a great loss to our Party and to the communist movement. On behalf of the CC of the CGPI, I convey heartfelt and deep condolences to the CC of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist Leninist) and to the family and friends of Comrade Stuart Monro at this great loss.
Comrade Stuart Monro studied drama at Bristol University and film-making at the London School of Film. He was making a film in 1970 when he met the forerunner organisation of RCPB (ML). From then on, he dedicated his boundless energy, and creativity to the Party and the cause of the emancipation of the working class and people. He dedicated his film making to the progress of humanity.
Comrade Stuart took up whatever task the Party assigned him until his death. He played an active role in the working class movement of Britain, uniting the workers in fighting for their rights and interests. Comrade Stuart worked closely with Indian workers and was loved by them.
Our Party had many warm and memorable interactions with Comrade Stuart Monro.
I myself, as well as other comrades of our party who have had the privilege of interacting with him, will always cherish the memory of this wonderful comrade.
Central Committee, Communist Ghadar Party of India
