Following the speech, comrades intervened to express their views on this important occasion. One and all, comrades hailed the anniversary of the Party, expressing their pride at being members of such a Party and militating in its ranks. They endorsed the speech and expressed their full agreement with it.

Enthused by the speech which laid out the experience of the Party in these more than 40 years from the preparatory work to found the Party till the present, in the particular political context prevailing in the country, comrades recalled their own personal experiences in the Party. They spoke with pride of the unwavering path of the Party towards the aim of establishing socialism on Indian soil, of the uncompromising stands it has taken against all wrong lines in the movement, of its courage in swimming against the tide in defence of Marxism-Leninism, of its adherence to the principles of a Leninist Party organization. They hailed the Party for its steadfastness in the face of all kinds of difficulties posed by the retreat of revolution, the bourgeois offensive and by the conciliators with social democracy.

Comrades deliberated on the question of – What is the Party, the task we have undertaken, and how it has been carried forward. They pointed out with pride that our Party carries forward the glorious traditions of the 1857 ghadar revolutionaries and the Hindostan Ghadar Party founded in 1913, and this is why we consciously called ourselves the Communist Ghadar Party of India. It is not an accident that our Program for the Navnirman of India contains the same rousing slogan as the 1857 Ghadar: in the words Hum hai iski malik, hum hai Hindostan, mazdoor, kisan, aurat aur jawan! They recalled the words of the General Secretary, when the Party took up serious study of the Hindustan Ghadar Party that we are filled with hatred for the bourgeoisie just like the Ghadrites hated the British colonisers, and will carry on our uncompromising struggle to bring this system to its end.

On the occasion of the 37th anniversary of CGPI

I promise…

Today I promise to work tirelessly and bring about revolution,

To prove that this is not just a dream to be seen and forgotten,

But a reality to work for and live in will always be my motivation.

If not with our Party, then I don’t know where I would had been,

Far from reality, alone somewhere, I might have lived a dream that at some point I would have seen.

Now that I am not alone and our Party is with me, I promise to bring revolution.

We will together prove that the dream we have seen is actually a beautiful reality in creation.

Our Party gave me the strength, the knowledge, the courage to swim in the tide against the current.

The precious lesson that life is not be lived only for oneself, but the real pleasure is in living it for others, I learnt.

My soul is longing to feel and breathe in the breeze that will flow in a socialist society.

For that I promise to work with full confidence in the line of our Party…

Today as I stand on my own feet, everything that I have I owe to my Party

Enabling the working class to rise on its feet to rule the world shall be my life’s duty.

This is not just a dream to be forgotten but a reality to live in, and the world will very soon feel its reverberation,

I promise that my life is for communism, and that it shall not end before bringing revolution!

– Shirin

Comrades pledged commitment to the continuous strengthening and consolidation of the Party, to the serious study of the science of Marxism-Leninism, to the goal of revolution. They expressed their confidence in the line of the Party and pointed out that the continuous striving of the Party to raise the consciousness of the workers and peasants is not a small thing and that time and again we meet workers who may be in some other party but recall the words of the Party Organ on this or that issue. They pledged to continue the non-sectarian striving of our Party to build communist unity around the program that will bring worker-peasant rule.

Comrades pointed out how every member is respected in our Party. A highly educated scientist works alongside a worker who has not had any opportunity for education, both equal as soldiers of Party. Women comrades said that one of the most important things for them is the respect and dignity that they experience within the Party.

Youth participated in large numbers in all the meetings. Several comrades saluted the far-sightedness of the Party in organizing youth who were rebelling against society but lacked direction, the consistent revolutionary schooling that has been provided, organizing them in the basic units of the Party that has given them the theory and practice of democratic centralism, all of which has built the revolutionary quality of our comrades and consolidated the steel-like unity of our Leninist Party.

The meetings concluded with revolutionary songs and enthusiastic slogans of Inquilab Zindabad, Communist Ghadar Party Zindabad and Glory to Marxism-Leninism.
