Trade unions gave a call to observe 28th January 2017 as an “Opposition Day” to protest the difficulties caused by demonetisation. Many protests were organised across the country. Trade Unions organised protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Various sections of workers participated in this.
AITUC, CITU, Hind Mazdoor Sabha, AICCTU, MEC, INTUC, AIUTUC, UTUC, TUCC, Sewa and LPF organised the protest.
