Letter to Editor: On the War against terrorism-II

As mentioned in the article “the government of Pakistan has refused to send its armed forces into Afghanistan”, this step is understandable given the experience Pakistan has had with the US. Every time Pakistan has allowed US to interfere within its boundaries or taken assistance from the US it has met with ill-fate. And now the US is ensuring that Pakistan is globally deemed a terrorist state, building the scene for something that needs to be dealt with as part of its “war on terrorism”. From Pakistan’s experience, one would think it wise to be wary of USA’s “friendship” judging from the way the US has repaid Pakistan for being an ally. If the Indian state were to evaluate the situation keeping in mind the security of its people and not the selfish expansionist interests of the bourgeoisie, it would be obvious that being an ally to the USA comes at a very high cost and will only lead to destruction and devastation of the region.

Dear Editor,

This is with reference to the article titled ‘“War against terrorism” is the banner behind which US imperialism is trying to establish its domination over Asia’ published in the October 16-31st issue of the party paper.

Instead of applauding the US for calling Pakistan a terrorist state, the Indian state needs to take a step back and stop playing house with the US. It would be better for India to build stronger ties with its neighbors including Pakistan to ensure a strong front against US plans in the region.

This is a crucial analytical article by CGPI and the facts clearly bring out the genealogy of events that unfolded in West Asia bringing it to the state it is in today, i.e. the games the US has played at the cost of millions of innocent lives are laid bare for all to see. Please do try and bring out more such articles to enlighten and encourage us all to seek the truth and more importantly participate in the creation of our future.
