Communist parties observe ‘Black Day’

A protest march was held from Mandi House to Parliament in New Delhi.

A protest march was held from Mandi House to Parliament in New Delhi. Com. Dhirendra Sharma, Secretary, Prof. Dinesh Varshney, Assistant Secretary CPI Delhi State, K. M. Tiwari, Secretary CPIM, Dharmandra Kumar Verma, Secretary, AIFB, Santosh Rai, CPI(ML)-Liberation and other leaders led the protest march.

Communists oppose Babri masjid demolition

A protest rally was held at Parliament at the end of the march. The protest rally was addressed by Com. D. Raja, M. P., CPI National Secretary, Com. Sitaram Yechuri, General Secretary CPIM, Com. G.Devrajan, National Secretary AIFB, Kavita Krishnan, National Secretary CPI(ML)-Liberation, R.K.Sharma, Secretary SUCI, Asit Ganguly, RSP State Secretary and Com. Santosh Kumar, CGPI.

Speakers condemned the criminal act of demolition of the Babri Masjid 25 years ago and the fact that the criminals are still roaming free. They condemned the systematic attempts by those in power to spread communal hatred and violence and smash the unity of the people. They condemned the growing fascist attacks on the livelihood and rights of the people and on scientific temper, as seen in the murders of several progressive individuals and activists and attacks on struggles and protests. They pledged to work to defend and strengthen the unity of the people.
